Hotel Overview

Sanctuary Luang Prabang is built around three listed buildings. Its charm, its traditional architecture and exotic garden make it an ideal holiday resort, calm and serene, yet close to everything. Luang Prabang is the historic capital of Laos, the mecca of Buddhism, and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Most of its architectural treasures are within walking distance of the hotel.

Elegantly furnished rooms

The Hotel has 30 elegantly furnished rooms. They are conveniently arranged in order to offer an exclusive view on the lotus pond. Each terrace faces the garden and offers privacy and comfort in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

As for the history bonus, the main building now protected by the UNESCO was the former house of the King’s brother and the gardens the royal stables. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, free internet access, minibar, safe, free tea and coffee. For families, the hotel has two interconnecting rooms, overlooking the garden.

The Sanctuary Luang Prabang Hotel has a large terrace which looks out over a pond. The terrace houses the bar and the MaiToo restaurant and is a place for quiet relaxation. Here you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner, or take a seat at dusk, to enjoy the peace and tranquility after a busy day.

Next to the terrace is the indoor restaurant, where asian fine cuisine is served for lunch or dinner. American or Asian breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the restaurant or on the terrace. The Sanctuary Luang Prabang hotel offers the possibility to try out the traditional Lao BBQ (sindat) in the garden next to the reception for a pure taste of Laos. Asian BBQ Dinner buffets available every Wednesday and Saturday.
